Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic clarified that his party will support “any government that preserves the civic and secular character of the country, promotes multiethnic democracy and contributes to dynamic economic development, so that Montenegro, as a country democratically and economically developed, to be part of the European Union in the near future ”.

He argued his support for the minority government proposed by Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, saying it “would be very dangerous for Montenegro if the ruling coalition became so dependent on Serb nationalism”.
The current government consisted of three coalitions, “one of which is a clearly profiled coalition of Greater Serbia.
“We thought that if such a government determined the state policy, it would be very dangerous for Montenegro.”
