A 34-year-old man was arrested by the Fier police after he was caught with a firearm. As soon as he noticed that he was being chased by the blue forces, he dropped his weapon and tried to run away, but he did not succeed.
As part of the police operation codenamed “Unexpected”, dozens of surprise checks were carried out on the streets and in various environments. As a result of these checks, the citizen BG, 34 years old, resident in Elbasan, was caught and arrested in flagrante delicto, at the train station in the neighborhood “Sul Paprri”, in Elbasan.
He was traveling in a vehicle and as soon as he saw the Police pursuing him, as information was available that he had a firearm with him, he dropped the weapon and tried to leave, but was caught by police officers and handcuffed.
During the operation, several other persons with criminal records were accompanied for verification, who, after verifications, were released.
Work continues to fully document the criminal activities in which this citizen may be implicated.
The materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance in Elbasan, for the criminal offense “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosives and ammunition.”
