Albania was not just a supply channel for marijuana to European Union countries.
Adults, teenagers and even minors are turning hashish into a lifestyle whether in urban or rural areas.
“They are recruited in schools, they are aged 15 to 18, but they can be both consumers and distributors at the same time”, said the prosecutor.
There are 109 people in Albanian prisons who under the effects of drugs commit crimes, steal, injure or use domestic violence. Alarm bells ring especially for juveniles being used by hashish criminal groups.
