A 22-year-old has fallen into the hands of the police as he was transporting drugs.

The eighth phase of the police operation codenamed “Restart”, started seven months ago, is being finalized.
The operation after intensive investigations, conducted by the Section for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking and Narcotics in DVP Korça, under the direction of the Prosecution of the Korça Judicial District.
Another citizen is handcuffed and another 8 kilograms of suspected narcotic substance cannabis and 550 grams of cannabis in the form of chocolate are seized.
The number of detainees goes up to 20, to 493.5 kilograms of cannabis and 550 grams of chocolate cannabis, seized as part of this operation, for cracking down on a criminal group in the field of distribution and trafficking of narcotics towards the Greek state .
Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking and Narcotics in the Local Police Directorate of Korça, under the direction of the Korça Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, following the police operation “Restart”, launched seven months ago have successfully finalized the eighth phase of as a result of which the citizen was caught and arrested in flagrante delicto:
FI, 22 years old, resident in Elbasan.
Based on the information gathered that the above citizen would transport a quantity of drugs, the Police forces organized the work and located the vehicle type “Volkswagen”, driven by the 22-year-old, in the city of Bilisht. During the control exercised in the vehicle, 1 black sports bag was found, inside which 8 kg of suspected narcotic substance cannabis and 1 other package weighing 550 grams of cannabis in the form of chocolate were found and seized as material evidence.
In cooperation with the Prosecution, investigations are underway to fully document the event.
The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Korça Judicial District, for the criminal offense “Production and sale of narcotics”.
