Former MP Nikolle Lesi, invited today to “Top Talk” has said that according to him Erion Veliaj has won the battle in the upcoming elections for mayor of Tirana.
He said that another strong candidate against Erion Veliaj could be Ilir Meta, but since Veliaj has started meetings as a political representative of Tirana, he has more chances to be even stronger than Ilir Meta in this race.
Nikoll Lesi: In the next election I think it is a big clash
Denis Dyrnjaja: There are rumors that Meta will be placed in front of Veliaj and the latter has challenged him.
Nikoll Lesi: I also published this myself, Veliaj, except for Meta, breaks all the candidates who appear in the ranks of the opposition in two because he has strength.
With Ilir Meta I doubt, but still, I have the impression that Veliaj is a step forward if he faces Meta, but the battle will be if both are epochal, and one Napoleon Bonaparte goes home. The mayor of Tirana is in the rank of prime minister, there is nothing wrong with Meta becoming part of him.
With this opposition, Edi Rama does not leave power only if a new opposition comes. I am in the opposition sense, I am against the government but with this opposition I have no hope.
If the opposition wins Tirana, which it does not win, it would be at an advantage and would force the government to hold early parliamentary elections within the year. The battle is Tiarnë-Durrës.
