The walls of the detention center in Pristina will now be able to tell the story of thousands of political prisoners during the time of the former Yugoslavia.
This center has turned into a museum commemorating the resistance of the Albanians who demanded the rights of their people.
The former prisoners who participated in the ceremonial opening told their stories.
The center that was used to hold and mistreat all those who sought freedom will also bear their names.
Through the walls that during the regime hid the torture that was done to Albanian men and women, the stories will now be exposed and their experiences will be illustrated with photographs.
The “Prison of the Ideal” will be open to citizens and will continue to be maintained as a documentation of the resistance of Albanians.
Visiting hours in this museum will be from Tuesday to Sunday, in the time period 10:00 – 19:00.
