Some incredible footage showed fishermen pulling a shark weighing more than 200 pounds[400 kg]in their small boat after fighting with it for 45 minutes until it died off the coast of Sydney, Australia.
The footage showed one of them tying the tiger shark, whose head hung from the bottom of the fisherman’s boat.
The five Australian fishermen had caught the wild beast at sea and weighed it in the port of Port Hacking. Tiger sharks are known for their ferocious nature, ranking second only to white sharks in the number of human kills.
Their flocks have already settled along the east coast of Australia during the summer, following the food that comes there along with the sea currents.
These sharks grow up to 7.62 meters in length and can sometimes reach weights of 800kg.
Surfer Charles Cernobori, 59, was killed on Cable Bay beach in November after being attacked by such a 4-meter-tall predator.
Cernobori’s death came six weeks after another fatal shark attack off the Australian coast when Andrew Sharps disappeared on October 9th.
In 2020, Australia recorded the highest figures of fatal shark attacks in about 100 years.
