For more than a year a 50-year-old woman suffering from acute leukemia has been forced to cross the wall with an iron ladder to enter or leave her home.
Disputes within the tribe have caused her sister-in-law to block the common road used by both families. Ëngjëllushe Brakaj from the village of Llakatund in Vlora complains on the show Fiks Fare because she hopes for a solution to this situation. Mrs. Brakaj with tears in his eyes told reporters that in addition to suffering from acute leukemia, he has been operated on more than 20 times.
It is impossible for her to go up and down the iron stairs as to get to her house she has to go through the wall with which her sister-in-law has blocked the road.
Crying, she asks for Fiks’ help and says that for the time she has left, she should at least walk to her house and not be forced to cross the wall.
She also indicates that she went to the police or administrative unit, but did not find a solution. The answer she has received is that the road will be opened when her sister-in-law returns after going to Greece to her children. The lady asks how can she still stand in this situation waiting for her sister-in-law to return?
Fix reporters call the administrator who says he is aware of the problem, but does not intervene as there is no one in the apartment. He then admits that he has been in contact with other family members who have blocked the way to give him a solution, and at the end of the communication with the journalists he says that the next day he will solve it together with the police.
Meanwhile, Fiksi also talks to the area inspector. He says they want the support of the local government and are ready to intervene, as they recognize the problem.
Journalists tell the inspector that they will be notified by the administrator to go to the field. He expressed readiness that they would intervene immediately to solve this problem.
