Berat- The Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu has inspected the works for the construction of the new maternity hospital in Berat, an investment of the Albanian government.
Minister Manastirliu has asked to work at a faster pace, in order to complete the project even sooner than the end of the year.
“It went well, but we have to move faster, to be as fast as possible, within the year,” said Manastirliu.
Emphasizing that the new maternity hospital in Berat will provide a service dedicated to mothers and children near the settlement, Manastirliu said that the space and organization will be according to the best standards. The new maternity hospital in Berat has a capacity of 52 beds and will serve the residents of the entire region.
In addition to the new maternity hospital in Berat, the Ministry of Health is currently investing in the construction of the maternity hospital in Lezha, Kukes and work has begun on the reconstruction and expansion of the maternity hospital ‘Queen Geraldine’ in Tirana.
