“We started the trip on March 5 and spent it in Hungary, Serbia and Macedonia, to arrive in Vlora, a place recommended by a friend who had previously been on vacation here.“, Says Ivan Shevcenko.
The other family Katerina Tallash arrived in Vlora with them, Anatoli and Ludmilla Tallash ran a business in Karkiv. They say he ran away from the cunning Putin and the real cause of the war, whom they also call the second Hitler.
“A friend called us and offered us security here. The situation in Kiev and Ukraine is very difficult, very scary, there is almost nothing left there. My friends have stayed in Ukraine. I wanted to stay too, but my mom would not leave without me. I am a nuclear engineer in Ukraine. Now I have to find a job and earn an income. But I want to thank the Albanians and my friends from Vlora“, Says Ivan.
Everyone today is unemployed, they stay for free in a hotel but they say that one day they want to work in Vlora. These two families are among the 351 Ukrainians in our country. The Minister of Interior, Bledi Çuçi, told the Ambassador of Ukraine in Tirana, Volodymyr Shkurov, that everyone is offered temporary protection according to the full legal framework we have for asylum and that other facilitation measures for their entry and stay will be approved in following if necessary.
