Enkelejd Alibeaj has proposed a platform to unite the Democrats, suggesting that any unilateral reorganization process be canceled and all expelled members return to the group.
Alibeaj’s proposal:
The application of the following principles in the assessment of the deputies of the PD Parliamentary Group brings about the immediate cessation of the internal conflict, and paves the way for the unification of the Democrats, which is the only political and electoral interest of the Democratic Party of Albania.
1. The PD Parliamentary Group strongly urges the avoidance of hate speech, blackmail, dissension, insult and arrogance among Democrats and calls on every member of the Party to reflect on and renounce any divisive position so far among Democrats.
2. The members of the Parliamentary Group expelled or suspended from the group by the decision of the National Council of January 12, 2022, return to the group, as a full member.
3. Any unilateral process of reorganization or establishment of local party structures, or meeting of central party structures is canceled, postponing it to an appropriate time determined in accordance with the rules set out in this document.
4. The Parliamentary Group sets up a joint working group for the drafting and monitoring of the implementation of the detailed plan for the realization of the unification of the party (from the base to the center). The Working Group proposes the rules and the calendar of the process, as well as the detailed plan for the reorganization of the party structures from the bottom up, which are approved at a special meeting of the Parliamentary Group.
5. The Working Group set up by the Parliamentary Group determines the implementing structures of this reunification plan.
The implementation of this plan is entirely administered by the GPPD, while at the branch level and at the group section level, it is carried out by joint working groups monitored by the GPPD. The tasks of each group, at branch level or group section, are performed according to these consecutive steps:
Step 1: Certification of the current membership, and in parallel to realize the opening and enrichment of the membership with representatives from
any layer of society that is ideologically close to the values and program of the DP. Define clear criteria and procedure e

Step 2: Start the election process at the section, group section and branch level. The working group should serve as a filter of candidacies
for each level. In rastemos disputes, the issue is resolved by the GPPD.
