The head of the presidential staff, Andriy Yermak, announced the news but did not give details as it was not clear at what stage was the new rescue attempt of the citizens trapped in the southern city of Mariupol.
“The next phase of rescuing our people from Azovstal is currently underway. Information about the results will be provided later,Said Yermak.
This comes after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told the Security Council on Thursday that a third operation was under way to evacuate civilians from Mariupol and Azovstal.
