Germany has registered over 100,000 new cases of coronavirus, for the first time since the pandemic broke out.
Data from the Robert Koch Institute on Wednesday showed that 112,323 new cases were registered in 24 hours.
On Friday, over 90,000 new cases of coronavirus were registered for the first time.
The average of the last seven days shows that 584 people have been infected per 100,000 inhabitants in this state.
Across Germany, 239 overnight coronavirus deaths were reported.
According to the Robert Koch Institute, Germany has registered over 8 million cases of coronavirus infection since the pandemic outbreak.
The true figure is believed to be much higher, as many infections have not been identified.
