Gjergj Prendi has been appointed as the new Prefect of Lezha after the resignation of Gjok Jakut. Gjergj Prendit’s return to this position has come because of the assessments he had after the government’s decision that the prefectures be run by the military.
Gjergj Prendi has held the post of mayor for about 18 months but on the eve of the local elections in 2019, when there was a complicated political situation, he was fired as Director of the Port of Shengjin.
