The Regional Directorate of AMP Vlora arrested in flagrante delicto a police officer of the Delta Force unit, as suspects for the criminal offense “Attempted Murder”.
On 29.04.2022, around 18:55, in the neighborhood “10 Korriku”, after a conflict for weak motives, it is suspected that the police officer, Inspector LM, fired a pistol (personal work weapon) at the citizen JT, who has been driving a Benz vehicle.
No one was injured in the shooting, while citizen JT left the scene, abandoning the vehicle.
Immediately after being informed from the operating room, by the officers of the Judicial Police of the Regional Directorate of AMP Vlora, under the direction of the ready prosecutor, an investigative group was created, which carried out procedural investigative actions at the scene, where they were seized;
– a pistol type firearm
– 7 9 mm cartridges, which are suspected to belong to the weapon of the police officer, LM
– 3 cartridges, model 54
– Mercedes Benz vehicle
– film footage from the cameras of the premises in the area where the event took place
The police officer, Inspector LM, was arrested in flagrante delicto and the procedural materials were referred to the Vlora Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office for the criminal offense of “Attempted Murder”, provided by Articles 76 and 22 of the Criminal Code.
Investigations are underway to fully clarify this event.
