The chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, continues to criticize the Government and Prime Minister Albin Kurti for his approach to energy and for the silence of part of the opposition.
Haradinaj, among other things, said that while he wanted to believe that the mistakes were the result of Kurti’s ignorance and inexperience in governing, the numerous scandalous actions about energy, have created the conviction that it all develops with a scenario that harms citizens and favors the energy mafia.
“Albin Kurti’s approach to energy has been continuously problematic. When she was in opposition, she opposed the construction of the New Kosovo, on the grounds that the more expensive electricity would come out, although its price is turning out to be several times cheaper. He just came to the Government, with ridiculous reasons not to say banal he refused American gas, which would be an additional source of energy production. Has spent tens of millions on paying for electricity to Serb citizens in the north. At the same time, it has continued to subsidize the purchase of electricity with tens of millions of other taxpayers. “Despite these enormous expenditures of public money, he has decided to increase the price of energy for the citizens to an unaffordable extent”, wrote Haradinaj.
He further wrote that “I wanted to believe that all these illogical actions of his in relation to energy, were the result of his lack of knowledge and governing experience. But so many scandalous actions have taken place, to create the belief that all this has been done with a scenario to cause an unbearable situation for the citizen, very profitable for the ‘energy mafia’. Therefore, my public question is whether all actions for energy hide something bigger than the Prime Minister’s lack of experience. Are there clientelistic interests of the Government and a part of the Opposition that is silent? Prime Minister, the citizen has realized that the issue of energy stinks, despite your efforts to justify the rise in electricity prices. You will not be able to escape the civic reaction in the first case that they receive the bills that they will not be able to afford “.
