The Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) announced this Thursday that it has closed investigations into former Deputy Interior Minister Rovena Voda and two other defendants, bringing the case to the GJKKO.
In a press release, SPAK says that at the end of the preliminary investigation for this criminal proceeding, evidence was collected which proves that the defendant Rovena Voda, in the capacity of Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Interior, has received and received monetary benefits unfair materials by defendants Majlinda Hasani and Florida Bey.
“The unfair monetary and material benefits in this case were taken and accepted in order for the defendant Rovena Voda to illegally exert influence on other persons exercising public functions, in order to unfairly favor the defendant Florida Beu, in order to the latter to be appointed a civil servant in the executive category“, Says SPAK.
Whereas, the defendants Majlinda Hasani and Florida Beu are accused of having committed the criminal offense “Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions”, committed in collaboration.
Recall that earlier the Special Court against Corruption, at the request of SPAK, imposed ‘house arrest’ on the former Deputy Minister of Interior, Rovena Voda, who is accused of having received money and unfair material goods from two women Majlinda Hasani and Florida Bey , for the employment of the latter in the civil service, in the executive category in the Ministry of Interior. Majlinda Hasani, a lawyer from Durrës, played the role of mediator for taking bribes.
