A 30-year-old man was handcuffed today in Tirana because he did not obey the police order to stop and as a result a citizen had an accident and a vehicle crashed.
Assessing the risk that this citizen posed while driving the vehicle in an irregular manner, the Police services made a stop sign, but the driver of the vehicle did not obey him and continued the movement.
During the attempt to leave, the driver injured the citizen DB, 61 years old, near the school “Vasil Shanto”, and then, in the street “Sulejman Delvina”, he collided with a taxi and left.
In the vicinity of the former “Shqiponja” square, the Police services have made possible the stopping of the vehicle, the driver of which, after the alcohol test, has turned out to be drunk.
The 30-year-old was arrested for the criminal offenses of “Violation of traffic rules”, “Leaving the scene of the accident”, “Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer” and “Objection of a public order police officer”.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Tirana, for further action.
