A citizen who is suspected of having injured an 83-year-old ten days ago in Elbasan, was arrested this Saturday.
The elderly man with the initials A.SH. was found in a canal, along the Thanë-Elbasan road segment, after being hit to death by a car.
Police arrested the 48-year-old with the initials AH, resident in the village of Muriqan, Elbasan, who is suspected of hitting with his vehicle type “Audi”, and removed the victim from the scene, in order to hide the event.
The vehicle type “Audi” was also found and seized, in which the signs of a collision appear, in the front part of the vehicle.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Elbasan Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office, continues the investigation to fully clarify the circumstances of the event and document with legal evidence.
