Another case of domestic abuse has been reported in Italy. A boy reportedly abused and threatened his mother.
Carabinieri of the Città di Castello Operational Unit have arrested a 28-year-old Albanian resident of Umbertide, who is suspected of attacking his mother several times. He forced her to meet constant demands for money.
A month ago his mother approached the Carabinieri to make a denunciation, after the boy had threatened her with death, as she had not given him money.
He had also destroyed the house by breaking furniture and appliances. Only thanks to the police was it possible to avoid more serious consequences.
The young man was arrested, but the Perugia Court team decided to ease the coercive measure by ordering the young man to leave the family home and no longer approach his mother.
Subsequent investigations by the carabinieri showed that the demands for money and ill-treatment had been going on for some time, with constant attacks and violent attitudes. At this point, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Perugia requested the investigating judge the measure of detention in prison, hypothesizing even serious crimes such as extortion.
The request was accepted by the judge. So the Carabinieri showed up at the 28-year-old’s house and arrested him and took him to Capanne prison.
