An Albanian living in Sweden was arrested today by the police, at the Morina border crossing after the car he was traveling in was stolen.
The 23-year-old with the initials AA was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Sweden for theft. The police seized the “Benz” type vehicle while the prosecution has started the investigation.
Police notification: 1 citizen is handcuffed for the criminal offense “Trafficking in motor vehicles”.
Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes in DVP Kukës, in cooperation with the Border Police Morinë, in implementation of the plan of measures to crack down on motor vehicle trafficking, arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen AA, 23 years old, resident in Sweden.
At the entrance of the Morina Border Crossing Point, during the registration and verification in the system, the vehicle type “Benz” driven by the citizen AA was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Sweden, after it was stolen in Sweden.
As a material evidence, a “Benz” type vehicle was seized.
The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Kukës Judicial District, for the criminal offense “Trafficking in motor vehicles”.
