Ecuadorian police today continued clashes with Hispanic and indigenous community protesters who attacked the Congress building in the capital Quito.
The protests have been largely peaceful but there have been allegations of infiltration of sabotage elements that have fueled violence between the parties.

Six people are believed to have died since the protests began, according to human rights organizations monitoring the developments.
But the only tolerance gained by the demonstrators is access to a cultural center for the Indigenous Effort, given by President Guillermo Lasso.
Police today released water with pressure and tear gas, while protesters fired stones, fireworks and molotov bottles.
Protest leader Leonidas Iza said the peaceful demonstration could have been provoked by infiltrators: “This is a bad sign, we had asked our supporters to march peacefully.”
In Thursday’s clashes, a young man died of gunshot wounds while a member of the indigenous communities was killed in clashes with the army on the outskirts of Quito.
The armed forces said they had been attacked by a violent group of protesters in Caspigasi, injuring 17 soldiers.
An estimated 14,000 protesters are taking part in mass protests, 10,000 of them in the capital Quito, which is under siege at night.
