The Albanian Parliament convened this Saturday at 18:00 in a special session to vote for Bajram Begaj as the new president of the Republic.
In the photos published by the LSA, it is seen as some of the socialists, among them Mimi Kodheli and Arben Ahmetaj went to meet the newly elected president Bajram begaj, who was sitting in the Assembly while the deputies were voting.
After the closing of the process where with 78 votes they elected Bajram Begaj as the new head of state, the Socialists were seen outside the Assembly as they hugged and shook hands.
Bajram Begaj was elected this Saturday as President of the Republic of Albania with 78 votes in favor, 4 against and 1 abstention. Former Chief of General Staff Bajram Begaj, whose name came out of the SP, will be the successor of Ilir Meta and will remain at the helm of the state for the next five years.
