“Rama made me a minister” was the comment of Ferdinand Xhaferraj that provoked the harsh reactions of the ministers and deputies in the Assembly.
Xhaferraj said that his word went out of context and when Gjylameti proposed to leave the hearing if he does not apologize, the opposition MP said that feminism gives a lecture.
He therefore apologized saying that 30 minutes in the Assembly were to raise awareness of a sexism issue.
Xhaferraj: It is embarrassing how words are taken out of context. I am going 60 years old. I had no problem apologizing. Clearer reasoning than I mentioned and my daughter who has no more ethics than that, I believe was very clear.
Gjylameti: If you do not apologize, gather all the ladies and leave the session. Neither age nor experience matters.
Xhaferraj: The problem is that I, among other things, give feminism and lecture at the university. The words were taken out of context but even these 30 minutes were done to raise awareness of a sexism issue, I apologize.
