Florian Marku shone in New Castle’s ‘Utilita Arena’ ring on Saturday, but facing Welshman Chris Jenkins was not easy.
In an interview for “Albania live”, Marku confessed about the difficult moment when he was hit in the head.
“The match ended very successfully in the fourth round. In the third round, we hit our heads and got in the eye. “I was afraid I was not looking well in the eye, I was afraid the judge would interrupt him.”
He expresses satisfaction that he has defeated one of the most famous boxers in England and is determined to face the strongest.
“It is one of the most respected opponents, having had the title of United Kingdom. I told the English public that I had come to stay and face everyone”.
3500 people were present in this confrontation, a good part of whom were Albanians and Florian Marku did not disappoint his compatriots at all. In the first two rounds it was seen that both boxers were careful, while in the third round Mark suffered a crack in the eyebrow after colliding with his opponent. It was exactly this moment when Marku decided to take the reins of the duel in hand by increasing the shots in the direction of Jenkins and in the fourth round threw him in Knockout ending this match after only 10 minutes and the enthusiasm of the Albanians present at Utilita Arena was at the highest level.
