Analyst Neritan Sejamini, invited to the show “Open” on Top Channel said that Sali Berisha achieved his goal with this Monday’s protest in front of the Prime Minister.
“The Open Balkans is a good thing for Albania, it is an initiative that has been debated for Kosovo’s position. It has been reported in all world media that there is an opposition of Albanians to Vucic. It is indisputable that this initiative was used for the internal war of the DP. This protest has only positive things, there are two types of protests, which is symbolic conveying a message, that this has been in the world media in this sense is a big protest, and another is to have a lot of people and topple someone . This is a protest that whoever wanted to go, went. The fact that Berisha managed to gather 3 thousand people, to become international news has achieved its goal “, he said.
Hundreds of citizens from Albania and Kosovo gathered to support Berisha this Monday, in a protest against the Open Balkans, initiated by Prime Minister Edi Rama, his Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
The former leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in his speech held on the protest podium, said that the godfather of this initiative is the American billionaire, George Soros.
Berisha called on the US, which has declared ‘non grata’ to stop holding “Open Balkan” meetings, as according to him Russia is trying to ‘put its foot’ in the Balkans and poses a threat to stability.
