The Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has sent for the second time to the German justice a letter requesting information about a charity association which operated in Albania during 1998. This request of the accusation comes due to the investigation for the disappearance of Aleksandër Nikoll in the same year, about which nothing is known and investigations have been reopened
The request of the prosecutor Elfrida Bregova is related to the investigation for the accusation of kidnapping and holding hostage of the 12-year-old who has been missing since September 20, 1998, a file that has been opened and closed dozens of times. Nikolli disappeared 24 years ago, after he and his brother returned from the Church of Laç and separated from him near Zogu i Zi.
According to witnesses, the 12-year-old took refuge with the German association that cared for and helped orphans and children in need. we have doubts about this foundation recently declared his child for justice in the capital adding that the association in question may have changed the generalities and may have given it for illegal benefit outside Albania.
The Prosecution says that it has asked a number of people, including the owner of the building where the foundation had its headquarters until 2004 and that it has a letter from the Albanian adoption committee stating that there is no adoption practice with the name of the child Aleksandër Nikolli that today would be 36 years old.
Prosecutor Bregova mentions in the documents made available to TCH that all actions have been carried out, including investigations in the Tirana court, where it turns out that there has never been a registered charity association named “Kinder Hause”.
