In an interview for SWR radio, Thomas Haldenwang, the president of the agency known as the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, said that “in the long term, China wants to become a leading power in various aspects”, “not only in the field of economy and technology, but also political”.

According to him, some tasks are more interesting than business as the work involves competition with Russian and Chinese hackers.
