Police announced this Friday morning that they had arrested the former socialist MP, Alqi Bllako.
The special court had given the decision for his arrest the day before, but until midnight Bllako is not in police custody.
This raised suspicions about his absence, while other officials accused in the incinerators’ file had been handcuffed earlier in the day.
SPAK clarified that from the court decision it was made available to the Special Prosecution at 15.30 yesterday. While the arrest was made at 3.30 am on Friday. From the removal of the mandate submitted by the deputy himself to the authorization, it took three days to arrest him and 12 hours for the police to act, during which different media were served different information on his arrest or surrender.
It took again, a few hours after the news broke in the media that Blako might have escaped, for the former Socialist MP to be handcuffed in the early hours of the morning. Bllako is accused that at the time when he was the general secretary of the Ministry of Environment he had abused his duty by falsifying together with the Minister Lefter Koka the official documents of the expropriation of the land in Fier where the incinerator would be built.
