A case of criminal activity in the field of production and sale of remote-controlled mines is hit, preventing possible criminal events.
Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Narcotics and Illegal Trafficking in DVP Korça, in cooperation with the Special Forces “Shqiponjat”, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Korça Judicial District, successfully finalized the operation codenamed “Remote”, as a result of which made the arrest in flagrante delicto of the citizen IB, resident in Korça.
Based on the information provided by the police that a citizen would try to sell mines by remote control, services were organized, it was possible to locate the person and catch him on the road axis Korça-Pogradec, near the place called Qafë-Plloçë . During the physical control exercised by the police forces, the citizens IB, were found and seized as material evidence 3 remote-controlled mines.
In cooperation with the Prosecution, investigations are ongoing to fully document this illegal activity and to bring to justice the other persons involved.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Korça Judicial District for the criminal offense “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosives and ammunition.”
