According to health experts, for a person to be considered fully vaccinated, he must receive two doses of the vaccine and two weeks after the second dose he is considered fully vaccinated.
“This data shows the importance of full vaccination in curbing the spread of COVID-19, in preventing infection with severe forms of disease and death from COVID-19,” said the Ministry of Health.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health, since the registration of the first cases of coronavirus in March 2020, until December 12, 2,987 people have died in Kosovo.
Meanwhile, regarding vaccination, with two doses of vaccine over 772 thousand citizens have been immunized and with one dose over 871 thousand people.
Citizens over 12 years of age have the right to be vaccinated in Kosovo. They can choose between the AstraZenca vaccine and Pfizer / BioNTech – two vaccines approved for use by the World Health Organization and the European Medicines Agency.
In Kosovo, the immunization of citizens has started with the boosting dose and the third dose and they can be taken by persons over 18 years old.
