The Ministry of Health of Kosovo has announced that 304 citizens have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
“Out of 10,042 tests, 304 citizens have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus,” reads the announcement of the Ministry of Health.
The MoH has not reported any deaths from this disease in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health, three citizens have been cured of this disease while the total number of cured in Kosovo by COVID-19 is 158,134.
In total the number of active cases is 1,552.
The MoH also announces that the vaccination of citizens has continued and that in the last 24 hours 2,103 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 have been given.
According to the MoH, 1,692,762 doses of the vaccine have been given so far in all cities of Kosovo.
On Saturday, January 8, Kosovo registered 264 positive cases. The number of cases has increased in the first days of January.
Apart from Kosovo, many countries around the world are reporting record levels of COVID-19 infections. According to experts, the increase in cases has been influenced by the highly transmitted variant, Omicron.
