The police operation codenamed “Morina” continues, to crack down on criminal activity in the field of providing assistance for illegal border crossing.
Following the police operation codenamed “Morina”, as well as in implementation of the tasks set out in the plan of measures to prevent and crack down on illegal activity of providing assistance for illegal crossing of borders and their transit in the Albanian territory, with destination EU countries hit another case of this criminal activity. As a result, the citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:
-PT, 60 years old, resident in Tirana.
This citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto, after being caught by the Police services, in the place called “Gostil Overpass”, transporting with the vehicle type “Opel”, 4 illegal immigrants, to cross them illegally across the border green, towards Kosovo, towards profit.
As material evidence, an Opel vehicle, a mobile phone and 200 euros suspected of profiting from this criminal activity were seized.
The investigative materials will be forwarded to the Prosecution at the Kukës Court of First Instance, for further action.
