Democratic Party MP, Grida Duma in a statement to the media spoke about the elections in the Democratic Women’s League.
The Duma announced that in order to avoid any conflict of interest and the possibility of unbalancing the process, women who will be in the working group are excluded from running for this post.
“We all as a working group are excluded from the race for the Democratic Women’s League. This is the first step that proves that this process starts outside of any conflict of interest. This process will be administered by a board that has no interest in unbalancing any race and voting norms.“, Said the deputy Duma.
On February 19, 2022, the race for the chairwoman of the Democratic Women’s League will take place. The Duma also unveiled the work calendar, which starts on January 5th and ends on February 19th.
She said that on January 5, the establishment of working groups in the branches of LDG will begin, while on February 6, the chairmen of LDG in all branches will be elected.
“On February 6, 2022, elections will be held throughout Albania at the branch level and after the 6th, a campaign will be opened at the regional level where the primary competition will start to go on February 19, which will culminate with the election of chairwoman of the LDG. One thing has been in sync. LDG should be conceived as a partner of PD. So we will not only have a member, but also a contributor “, said among others the Duma.
