Lezha Traffic Police starts using the AquilaScan device, for testing the drivers of vehicles that drive vehicles, under the effect of narcotics.

Lezha Traffic Police, during preventive controls in order to increase road safety parameters, identification and punishment of drivers who violate traffic rules or drive vehicles irregularly, in addition to field controls and the use of drones, has also started use of the AquilaScan device, for testing citizens driving vehicles, under the effect of narcotics.
As a result of using the AquilaScan device, AV citizen, 34 years old, resident in Lezha, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
This citizen was ascertained by the Traffic Police services, in the city of Lezha, positioning the vehicle, in an irregular manner, on the road. During the control it turned out that this citizen did not have any documentation for the vehicle.
In these conditions, the citizen AV was escorted, together with his vehicle, to the premises of the Lezha Police Station, for further procedural actions. After the test with the AquilaScan device it turned out that the driver of the vehicle was under the effect of narcotics.
Also, the citizen AV had his driving license suspended for 12 months, 10 points were deducted from his driving license, and an administrative measure of 15,000 new lek was imposed.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution at the Lezha Judicial District Court, for further actions.
Lezha Traffic Police appeals to all drivers to strictly apply the rules of the road, in order to prevent road accidents and increase road safety.
