The political leader of the Socialist Party for the region of Fier, Taulant Balla and the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku participated in a meeting with the residents of region No. 4 in Lushnja, where they introduced the SP candidate for the local by-elections of March 6 in Municipality of Lushnja, Eriselda Sefa.
In his speech, Balla said that during the period that Eriselda has headed the Municipality of Lushnja, many inherited problems began to take a different direction.
“Eriselda for me personally is a nice surprise, but at the same time it was a confirmation of what Edi Rama often says, “if you will do the job of leaving women” and the truth is that in 6 months of running the municipality by Eriselda many inherited problems in the municipalities began to take a different direction. Transparency increased, new projects were added that the municipality implemented to seek funding from the ministry headed by Belinda, the Albanian Development Fund or many other agencies and development ministries in Albania“, Said Balla.
He stated that he is satisfied that in a short time not only the projects have been prepared, their financing secured, but also a new phase of Lushnja transformation has entered.
“The first thing, which the ministry will confirm to you, we talked without knowing that this campaign would come, we talked with the minister and the prime minister that one of the projects we expect to finance in the Municipality of Lushnja is the big project of the ring road, which we want to turn into a trade road, which will provide many jobs, but the trade road must have sidewalks, lanes, a standard road to protect pedestrians but also vehicle rights. So for all this I give you the word that we will provide funding for the Lushnja Ring which is an old gangrene but that the time to change it has come now and I do not connect this with the March 6 elections but with the need to develop the 7th largest municipality in the Republic. For those who do not know Lushnja is one of the largest municipalities in the Republic and as such without an inherent ring like the one we want to build it will be impossible to justify the trust“, Said Balla.
With the citizens of Lushnja, he recalled a message from Gramoz Ruçi.
“My friend, Gramoz Ruçi, taught me a rule that I have started to follow every day, climb the stairs one by one because if you take them running you will fall and the truth is that Eriselda has climbed the stairs one by one acquiring knowledge in local government administration but more than that gaining the trust of those who are foreign donors. It is a chance that we both have here to understand how important it is to make the municipality and the government together on March 6. Imagine if on March 6 we do not take it seriously and on March 7 we get up with a mayor, one of them Luli or Sali and Ilir Meta and that the government can not work with them as we could not find a way to work with Voltana Ademi in Shkodra. Without going too far on the projects as well as your neighborhood, which I will call the main artery, but we also talked about the squares inside the neighborhoods, the alleys within the neighborhoods which are not in the condition I would like to find in Lushnja. From the first day I came to Lushnja I would have liked to find more work done but these have been our opportunities so far but I believe and know that the following days and months will find us with more work“, Said Balla in his speech.
While Minister Balluku during her speech guaranteed support for some major infrastructure projects that will start this year in the city and some villages in the Municipality of Lushnja.
“We have not stopped at any moment setting up construction sites investing in basic services, those that affect every citizen, so Lushnja will have maximum support from the government, this is the mandate of the Prime Minister, I tell you it is one of the most priority areas for no. Next month, the competition for the construction of the “Blue Corridor” starts, and one of the most important segments of this corridor belongs from Rrogozhina to Lushnja to be connected later with the Fier bypass. This whole project will bring a very big change along the highway as the existing highway will be turned into a category A highway, ie a high-speed highway and to build roads parallel to it, which will be at the service of citizens of the country. Everywhere this highway passes starting from Tirana to the Fier bypass and moreover this will force us to enter the interior areas doing the ring road and everything else that will connect the city of Lushnja with the highway. As Taulanti said, for foreign projects, this is an area which has benefited very important projects from KFW and any other foreign financial organizations that support Albania. And you know what, that money is there for all the municipalities and if in the Municipality of Lushnja they came it shows that there was a capable staff who applied properly and followed it properly and this is something that Eriselda needs to recognize him and we must give him the opportunity to continue in the future to have this kind of attribute and to continue to contribute to cities“, Said Balluku.
