The former chairman of the Democratic Party branch in Fier, Luan Baçi, stated this Saturday that by the order of Armando Subashi, the municipal police has stopped the voting process in Cakran.
Baçi told reporters that the process started normally at 08:00 in all polling stations in Fier, excluding only the incident of Cakran which has probably come as a result of a negotiation between Gazment Bardhi and the mayor of Fier.
“We talked to the leaders of the local unit yesterday, they allowed us and it was decided that the voting would take place there. Now they have gone and taken them out with all the election materials on the orders of Armando Subashi. It is unfortunate that the action of Subashi and all other Subashes dealing with these affairs. Forget that they can interrupt the voting“, He said.
Baçi clarified that he had talked to the leaders of the local unit the day before and permission had been obtained to conduct this process there, but apparently by order of Armando Subashi the municipal police has decided to stop it.
He stressed that work is being done to find another environment nearby to conduct the voting process.
