Recently, the works for the intervention in the field of the stadium ‘Roza Haxhiu’ in Lushnje have started.
This investment consists in the reconstruction of the field of this stadium through the basement system and then the planting with natural grass, as well as the investment of three other new fields, which will be with natural and artificial grass. One will serve for the training sessions of the first team and the trainings of the chain teams, the second for the training of children up to the age of U-13, while the reconstruction from the beginning of the training annex will be done, which will serve for all school sports teams and activities.
Today, President Duka inspected the works on this investment that is expected to completely change the football infrastructure in the city of Lushnja. Duke thanked the Mayor of Lushnja, Mrs. Eriselda Sefa, for the willingness to invest in football infrastructure, inviting at the same time all local units and those interested to cooperate with the AFF to make possible the change of infrastructure in Albania.
“In fact, I am really pleased to be here today, at the beginning or at the coronation of an agreement made with the Municipality of Lushnja a month ago and at the beginning of the works. We started with the reconstruction of the field in front of the stadium, in cooperation with the mayor, whom I would like to thank for the readiness and contribution, not only for the will, but also for the joint funding for the reconstruction or reconstruction of the entire football infrastructure in Lushnja. This agreement consists in the construction of the field where we are, of another field with natural grass, on the side of the stadium and of another field with artificial grass on the other side of the stadium, but also in the regeneration of the stadium field “Roza Haxhiu”. I think that with this investment, the city of Lushnja will have a much better future for football, mainly for children, that we want to bring closer in football. “Once again, I thank the mayor and express my readiness through the mayor to any kind of a local unit in Albania or any interested party who will cooperate with us to change the sports infrastructure for the benefit of children, for the benefit of football and its future.” – said President Duke.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Lushnja, Mrs. Eriselda Sefa thanked the President of the AFF for the support to invest in football infrastructure in the city of Lushnja, responding to her request for intervention. “I take this opportunity to thank President Duka, who responded to my request a few months ago, to make a dream come true for the citizens of Lushnja, that of requalification of all sports fields, but also the carpet of the stadium grass. Given that for 30 years in these fields no investment was made, thanks to this support, the citizens of Lushnja will have better sports fields, but also more comfortable facilities for their children to play, but also for “Their heart team, Lushnja, was trained” – said in her speech Mrs. Sefa.
