The leading structures of the Democratic Party in Shkodra, Vora and Lushnja have proposed Xhemal Bushati, Ymer Marku and Indrit Sefa, respectively, this Wednesday for the March 6 local by-elections.
The proposal will be approved by the Central Presidency in Tirana. According to the deadlines set by the DP Presidency, the party base and the leading structures of the Branches in the 6 municipalities will nominate the candidates.
Candidates proposed by the base will then be subject to review and approval by the DPA Presidency.
Indrit Sefa currently holds the post of Secretary for Legal and Local Affairs in the DP. As soon as he received the support of the leadership of the Lushnja branch, Sefa said that he will work for the citizens and his challenge is with them, to provide a local and quality government. Ymer Marku has held the post of the leader of Bërxulla.
So far, five official proposals have been made in the DP: in Shkodra Xhemal Bushati, Durrës Luan Hoti, Lushnjë Indrit Sefa, Vora Ymer Marku and Rrogozhinë Ferdinand Saraçi. While the proposal in Debar is still unknown.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party has not yet formalized the names that will be part of the March 6 elections for the six municipalities without a mayor in the country.
