Kosovo Serbs protested in the squares of North Mitrovica.
“Kurti destroyed the Brussels agreement, destroyed everything” and “Serbs are endangered survival in Kosovo and Metohija” were the calls of Friday’s protest. Serbs protested peacefully for their rights, said the leader of the march, at the same time the Minister of the Government of Kosovo, Goran Rakic. He announced that all Serbs working in Kosovo institutions are self-suspended.
Goran Rakiq: None of us will work until the President of the Court is reinstated. No one is afraid, I send a message to Kurti and the police located in the North. We will stay here, we will fight for our rights. We do not want anything more than what Albanians have. We do not want to take anything from anyone, we just want it to belong to us.
Part of the protest were also other members of the Serbian List who enjoy the mandate of deputy in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. Some of the protesters also held in their hands the call “UN 1244 Help”, implying that Kosovo Serbs are in danger. They themselves said they were protesting for their rights.
There were also protests in Gracanica on Friday. All this came after the suspension of the President of the Mitrovica Court, Ljlijana Stevanonivq, from office, as she together with five commanders of the Kosovo Police participated in the meeting of the National Security Council in Belgrade. Also the non-holding of the parliamentary and presidential elections of Serbia in the territory of Kosovo.
