The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka denied the information that there are Albanian mercenaries in Ukraine.
According to the minister, it is a lie created by Moscow, emphasizing that Albania stands with Ukraine and will continue to work with all allies and partners to help end Russian aggression.
“There are no Albanian mercenaries in Ukraine! This is a lie that Moscow continues to repeat without shame! That said, Albania stands with Ukraine and will continue to work with all allies and partners to help end Russia’s unprovoked aggression against the people of Ukraine. May God bless them”she said.
Tensions in Ukraine have risen as we approach the ninth day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The two rounds of talks between the two countries were without concrete results, while last night it seems that the thick ice barrier was broken after the delegations shook hands.
It is not yet known what the fate of Ukraine will be, as the third round of talks is expected to take place over the weekend.
