Less than 24 hours after the shooting with firearms in Velipoja where one person was seriously injured, another assassination attempt took place in Shkodra but this time with one victim. Lulash Qepuri, 76 years old, was killed on Wednesday evening, after he was shot several times.
He was standing in his bar, in the village of “Stom Golem”, at the moment when a masked person approached and opened fire on him. The victim’s son was also at the scene, as he is also suspected of taking a weapon and shooting at the masked perpetrator, but the latter left quickly and got into a vehicle.
Immediately, the young man called the police and told them that their father had been killed. Qepuri went to the hospital in a critical condition for life, and despite the intervention of the white shirts, he could not survive the wounds received.
26 cartridges from the used weapons were found at the scene, while a shotgun was found on the ground, at the entrance of the bar. Police escorted the victim’s son to the police station, who said that the masked perpetrator approached the bar on foot and immediately opened fire. Meanwhile, the footage of a security camera was provided, which recorded the moment of the event.
Lulash Qepuri had been ill for a long time. He was arrested in 2011 after during the control exercised in the restaurant and in his apartment next to the restaurant, firearms, ammunition and seeds of the narcotic plant cannabis sativa were found and seized.
