A 30-year-old woman has fallen into the hands of the police, after embezzling significant amounts of money through fraud and forgery of documents.
Through the police operation codenamed “Promise”, Veriana Gega, resident in Berat, accused of the criminal offenses “Fraud” and “Forgery of documents”, committed in collaboration, was handcuffed.
She is suspected of having benefited the amount of 16000 euros from a Kosovar citizen, claiming that she would perform the procedures for obtaining an Albanian passport.
Also, investigations have shown that she, through fraud, has benefited different monetary amounts, from different citizens in the country.
Work continues to identify and apprehend her accomplices, while the materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Tirana Judicial District Court, for further procedural actions.
