Tabaku addressed key issues on the preconditions and priorities for the opening of the first intergovernmental conference between the EU and Albania.

Also, according to the data, in 2021 316 property materials were referred, of which only 14 were processed for review and only 4 of them were submitted requests for sequestration.

What is happening to financial crime? Do the new justice institutions have the capacity to fight the financial, property investigation? Do they have sufficient capacity to fight corruption, financial investigation and money laundering? Why does Albania remain on the gray list?

We must emphasize that the European Integration process is a transformational process regardless of whether or not an opening date comes.

There are three essential issues i) Electoral crime investigation; ii) Investigation of corruption; and iii) Supporting these institutions makes the work independent without political attacks. It is therefore in the integrity of the government to ask these institutions to do independent work.
