Release President Ilir Meta has called for the release of those arrested by the police during the protests of the previous days.
“Release our students, women and our patriotic youth,” Meta said.
As the national protest against the increase of oil and basic food prices takes place today in the capital, Meta has posted on his Facebook page a video of the protesters gathered in front of the Prime Minister.
While praising him as an extraordinary people, the head of state stressed that the people deserve respect and humility from the political class.
