Klodian Hasimllari appeared at the Korça police station around 2 o’clock this morning. Shocked by what he had seen, he told the blue uniforms that he had not come to Albania for five months, as he lived and worked in Greece to support his family.
He said he was not sure if the baby was his or not after five months had passed and the woman had not told him anything about the pregnancy.
Hasimllari said that when communicating with his wife on the cell phone, she spoke in the third person mentioning her name and saying that she had given birth to the baby and put it in the suitcase.
“It seems to me that I saw a baby in a suitcase at home. I smelled from the bedroom, I went checked in the closet and saw a baby in the suitcase. I have been coming and going from Greece for more than 1 year because I try to support my family with bread. I was in Korça 5 months ago, so I’m not sure if the baby is mine or not. I had 5 months without coming to Korça. I asked the woman yes she was talking to me in the third person mentioning her name without knowing she was talking about herself. He said that “M…” (short name of the 40-year-old) gave birth to a child and put it in a suitcase. “I’m very shocked by what I saw.”
On the other hand, it is reported that Klodian Hasimllari was in Korça 1 month ago, as the 40-year-old was ill. Klodian Hasimllari came to see her, she had severe anemia. It is confirmed that the baby is premature, so it was born prematurely.
