This Friday in January there was no loss of life from COVID, while the number of infected people increased day by day after the end-of-year holidays.
Out of 8,105 tests, 1,781 citizens tested positive for COVID19. 919 are in Tirana, 93 in Durrës, 68 in Shkodra, 60 in Fier, 59 in Vlora, 55 in Gjirokastra, 41 in Lushnje, 34 in Berat, 32 in Saranda, 29 in Lezha, 25 in Mat, 26 in Kamza, 70 in Elbasan, 17 in Mallakastër, Korçë, Pogradec, 14 in Skrapar, 13 in Krujë, Kavaja, Patos, Divjakë, 11 in Peqin, 10 in Vora, Gramsh, Librazhd, 9 in Tepelena, 8 in Përmet, Kolonjë, Dimal, 7 in Kurbin, 6 in Tropoja, Kuçovë, 5 in Malësi e Madhe, Himarë, Memaliaj, 4 in Puka, Shijak, Delvinë, Konispol, 3 in Fushë Arrëz, Devoll, Belsh, 2 in Vau i Dejës, Kukës, Has, Mirditë, Klos, Rroskovec, Selenica, Dropull, Këlcyrë, 1 in Dibër, Cërrik.
There are 10,789 active COVID19 patients nationwide. Currently in COVID hospitals 111 patients are receiving treatment, of which 12 are in more serious condition.
278 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 202,664 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation.
The Ministry of Health appeals to all +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose, to go to health centers or centralized vaccination points to be vaccinated with the third booster dose.
The Ministry advises to avoid crowds and to ventilate the premises where you stay, to limit the spread of Covid-19.
