The Pakistani military said security forces had removed separatist militants from two areas in southwestern Balochistan province after militants attacked two army camps, killing nine soldiers and wounding six others.
The Pakistani military statement said 20 militants had been killed during the long and intense fighting and subsequent operations.
The military said militants attacked security forces’ camps in Naushki and Panjgur counties in Balochistan province on February 2.
An ethnic separatist group called the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The Pakistani military said nine assailants were killed in Naushki, while four soldiers, including an officer, were also killed. In Panjgur, security forces, according to the army, fought intensively and drove the attackers out of the area.

Authorities say they have suppressed an uprising launched by separatists in Balochistan, who are seeking independence from Pakistan.
