Prime Minister Andrej Plenkoviroi warned today that Croatia would react “clearly and decisively” in the event of a Russian attack on Ukraine.
Russia has worried Kiev and the West by gathering troops and equipment near Ukraine and fears preparing an attack. Moscow denies this and claims that it has the right to deploy forces on its territory at will.
Speaking in Parliament, Plenkovi vlerës assessed that the situation in eastern Ukraine is extremely worrying and more tense since 2014, amid the conflict between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian rebels.
“Croatia does not want an escalation and will react clearly and decisively to avoid any instability,” he said, without elaborating.
