The company ELTEK has confirmed the death of three workers, who were at the factory where the powerful explosion took place in Itea, Grevena.
In a press release this Monday, the company clarifies that the circumstances of the accidents are being investigated by the competent authorities.
“We are in an extremely uncomfortable position to confirm the death of three workers, who were at our factory in Grevena, during an accident at the unit’s production line. The exact circumstances of the accident are still being investigated by the competent authorities, with which our company fully cooperates“- the press release ends.
The blast occurred this Monday morning in Itea, Grevena, at a factory that produces explosives.
The blast was so large that wall stones or pieces of concrete and gravel from the factory premises were thrown up to 300 meters away and it was felt up to a distance of 30 km to Kozan, while a large cloud of smoke rose hundreds of meters on the ground.
